The Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking a skilled Echocardiography Specialist to join our team in North Wales. As an Echocardiographer / Cardiac Physiologist (Echo), you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms and other cardiac investigations, providing high-quality diagnostic services to patients.
About the Role:
We are committed to delivering excellent patient care and promoting professional development. The successful candidate must be BSE accredited and competent to issue independent echo reports, providing teaching for medical and physiologist staff. You will have a BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent, registration with the RCCP, and ILS/ALS certification.
Main Responsibilities:
We require an experienced Echocardiographer who can work autonomously, utilizing specialist and technical knowledge of cardiac ultrasound in line with evidence-based practice. You should be able to perform a broad range of cardiological techniques employed within the department, including advanced techniques such as stress echocardiography and tissue Doppler imaging.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent, and be registered with the RCCP. You should also have experience of autonomous scanning and reporting of echocardiograms post-qualification, and be able to utilize wide, thorough, and up-to-date specialist postgraduate level knowledge across the full range of cardiac physiology investigations.
