Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Head of SEN to join our team at The Progress Group. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and passionate individual to lead our alternative education program in Northamptonshire.
About the Role
This senior leadership position requires a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who can effectively manage student discipline and provide high levels of pastoral care. The successful candidate will have proven experience working collaboratively with parents, community organizations, and stakeholders to support students with diverse and challenging needs.
Key Responsibilities
- To lead and manage our SEN team to ensure that we can provide ample opportunities for children who need a nurturing, encouraging and supportive environment.
- To develop and implement effective strategies to address the educational needs of our students.
- To work closely with teachers, support staff, and regional and national staff to ensure seamless delivery of our alternative education program.
What We Offer
As a member of our team, you will receive a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we offer a range of benefits including professional development opportunities, death in service insurance, enhanced maternity/paternity leave, and access to Medicash.
Requirements
- Hold a teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS)
- National Award for SEN Co-ordination / NPQ for SENCOs (or be in first 3 years of a SENCO role)
- Degree or equivalent
- NPQSL and/or NPQH (desirable)
