Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our Security Operations Centre (SOC) team at JD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring and triaging security alerts, conducting in-depth analysis of security incidents, and providing support to our SOC management team during incident investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day security operations within the SOC, ensuring the effective detection and response to security threats.
  • Act as an escalation point for security incidents, conducting thorough analysis and providing recommendations for mitigation and prevention.
  • Collaborate with the SOC management team to develop and maintain playbooks for operational incident response workflows.
  • Contribute to the development of key performance indicators to measure the success of the SOC team.
  • Maintain knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and identify opportunities for process improvements and technology enhancements.

Requirements:

  • 2 years' experience in a Security Operations Centre or supporting an Incident Response Team.
  • Experience with Microsoft Security tools and network management and monitoring tools.
  • Ability to create new SIEM rules and saved searches for detection of events of interest.
  • Understanding of common intrusion analysis models and ability to enact critical thinking.
  • Experience with TCP/IP protocol analysis and cyber threat analysis and mitigations.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous responsibilities and analyze complex information and data.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conceptual thinking abilities, especially with technical troubleshooting.
  • Strong and effective process management skills.
