We are seeking a skilled Part Time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Surveying Services Finance team in Chelmsford. As an AR Assistant, you will play a crucial role in tracking income and ensuring payments are received from our clients and accurately recorded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the AR team's day-to-day operations, including sales ledger management, billing, collection and allocation of receipts, and ledger maintenance.
  • Regularly monitor mailboxes and respond to queries in a timely manner, ensuring efficient and professional handling of internal and external stakeholder enquiries.
  • Prepare client reconciliations and ensure month-end processes are completed within deadlines.
  • Provide accurate reporting to management, including aged debt reports.
  • Perform general housekeeping of aged debtors, resolving queries in a timely manner.
  • Manage key client relationships, including direct contact with large lender clients.
  • Maintain operational process notes, ensuring they are fit for purpose.
  • Perform ad-hoc queries as required.

Requirements

  • The successful candidate will have proven experience within an Accounts team.
  • The role may suit an AAT studier.
  • You will be organised, work to tight deadlines, and have the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are essential.
  • You will have attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
