RF Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced RF Design Engineer to join our team at MBDA UK Ltd. As an RF Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the research, design, and testing of cutting-edge radio-frequency technology for integration into our complex weapons systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop RF circuits across a wide frequency range, including LNA Amplifier, High Power Amplifier, filter, local oscillator, synthesiser, and modulator design.
- Ensure RF design experience for harsh environments, including EMC, vibration, and thermal.
- Perform design proving tests and trials in the onsite laboratory.
- Utilise excellent practical skills, including soldering, fault finding, and the use of RF test equipment, such as Spectrum Analysers, Power Meters, and VNAs.
- Develop good knowledge of digital, analogue, and power supply design.
- Experience using RF design tools, including Microwave Office, and layout.
- Fully conversant with manufacturing techniques and capabilities, including design for manufacture and test.
- Strong communication skills, with excellent presentation and report writing skills, and the ability to communicate clearly any problems, solutions, or results to the team and customer.
- Company bonus: Up to £2,500 (based on company performance and will vary year to year).
