We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Regulatory Lawyer to join our Legal Service at North Yorkshire Council. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues and Members at every level within the organisation, as well as external clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise on law relating to licensing, housing, environmental health, anti-social behaviour, prosecutions, and other matters.
  • Support the provision of a comprehensive and efficient legal service to the Directorates, the Council's Executive, full Council, Committees, and Members.
  • Manage the performance of staff within the responsibility of the post.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable knowledge of law in one of the areas within the regulatory (including licensing) and housing portfolios. They will also have the ability to communicate effectively in writing to produce documents in a range of formats and styles to suit a range of audiences.
