About the Role:

As Senior Ecological Consultant, you'll provide specialist ecological input on various projects while supporting the wider team with advice on ecological surveys, strategies, and mitigation. With a wide variety of projects and a growing number of non-development clients, your understanding of environmental net gain and land management will be key.

This is a great opportunity to develop your management skills, as you'll be line managing and assisting in the training and mentorship of junior team members, promoting a culture of trust, collaboration, and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing specialist ecological input on various projects
  • Supporting the wider team with advice on ecological surveys, strategies, and mitigation
  • Developing and implementing ecological strategies and mitigation plans
  • Line managing and mentoring junior team members

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years UK Ecology experience
  • A degree-level relevant qualification and full membership (or working towards) with CIEEM
  • A full UK driving license
  • Ideally at least one protected species license (or working towards)
  • Knowledgeable in environmental net gain and land management
  • Team leadership skills

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum DOE
