Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Intelligence Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our intelligence management function, you will play a critical role in overseeing the receipt, assessment, and management of intelligence information. Your expertise will help us stay one step ahead of potential threats, ensuring the effective delivery of our counter-terrorism strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise personnel and manage staff performance within the CTPNW intelligence team.
  • Maintain discipline and ensure compliance with Force and Departmental Orders.
  • Ensure staff welfare and training needs are met, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Prepare reports on complex issues related to operational and policy matters, providing actionable insights to senior managers.
  • Oversee the timely and effective receipt, assessment, and management of intelligence information, aligning with National Standards of Intelligence Management.
  • Support the delivery of the CTPNW delivery plan, contributing to the success of our counter-terrorism strategy.
  • Brief senior managers on intelligence operations and other matters of special interest, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Liaise with Senior Investigating Officers on investigations, facilitating collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
  • Devise Branch policy, strategy, and tactics in liaison with other sections of the CTPNW, other force departments, and external agencies, as required.
  • Assist command on policy matters affecting CTPNW, other forces, and external agencies in relation to terrorism and allied matters.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in intelligence management, with experience in supervising personnel and managing staff performance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to brief senior managers and collaborate with colleagues.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Salary

The salary for this role is £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
