As a key member of the procurement team, you will take ownership of key elements of the category work plan, including delivering sourcing projects and their associated targets in conjunction with business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Category Development: Contribute to the development of the annual category work plan, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Project Management: Initiate and deliver category projects and targets, supporting the delivery of wider team targets and operational KPIs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build credibility with key stakeholders, including senior business leaders and suppliers.
- Procurement Process: Ensure a robust procurement process for all contracted goods and services, identifying and meeting all regulatory and quality standards.
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate robust contracts, including pricing and commercial terms, and develop SLAs and KPIs to support operational requirements.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all procurement policies and processes.
- Global Initiatives: Support the development of global procurement initiatives and their local implementation.
- Supplier Management: Manage core and non-core suppliers to ensure performance and innovation are delivered during the contract term.
- Procurement Experience: End-to-end procurement process experience, with a focus on medical and surgical categories.
- Business Acumen: Ability to work with senior business stakeholders to successfully deliver complex sourcing projects in a multi-site organization.
- Competitive Salary: £40,000 per annum.
