About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Private Client Legal Assistant to join our team at Law Staff Limited. As a Private Client Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our lawyers and providing exceptional administrative support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Enquiries: Handle enquiries from clients, solicitors, and other relevant parties, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Attendance Notes: Record detailed attendance notes for all correspondence, maintaining accurate records of client interactions.
  • File Management: Open and close files, keeping them up-to-date with both electronic and hard copy correspondence, ensuring compliance with SRA regulations and firm standards.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support, including tasks such as photocopying and scanning, to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Document Preparation: Draft basic letters and prepare/submit simple legal documents, completing legal forms, registering documents, and submitting applications to the Court.
  • Calendar Management: Manage contact lists and calendars for fee earners, tracking and monitoring deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Searches and Registrations: Conduct searches and register Wills with Certainty, maintaining accurate records of client documents.
  • Financial Administration: Prepare and submit bills to the finance team on behalf of fee earners, creating Estate Accounts using Excel.
  • Reception Cover: Provide reception cover, handling banking and post tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk.
Requirements
  • Legal Knowledge: A solid understanding of the daily functions of a legal office, including case management software and legal procedures.
  • Technical Skills: Strong computer skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and Outlook, with proficiency in English language.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulations.
