Senior Claims Negotiator

We're looking for someone with third-party injury claims experience, who excels at negotiating and managing claims to a conclusion with strong knowledge of relevant legal jurisdictional rules and protocols.
This role involves being assertive, supporting customers through their PI claims journey, and building strong working relationships.
- Key Skills:
- Investigative Mindset: Gather facts, study legal documents, and conduct thorough investigations.
- Excellent Communication: Interact with clients, insurance companies, and claimant solicitors.
- Negotiation: Negotiate settlements with insurance companies or other parties.
- Deadline-Driven: Manage deadlines for filing documents, responding to inquiries, and meeting claim requirements.
We offer flexibility and hybrid working, with 4 days work from home and 1 day in the office. We're open to adjusting your working hours to suit your needs.
- Manage a portfolio of Personal Injury claims, from receipt of medical evidence to conclusion, contacting policyholders, witnesses, and Third Party insurers.
- Promptly identify potential fraud indicators that require referral.
- Ensure large loss indicators are referred promptly.
- Manage inbound and outbound phone calls, ensuring accurate file reservation.
- Comply with Company Policies, Values, and guidelines at all times.
- Proven motor claims experience in a bodily injury claims environment, gained from a motor insurer.
- Experience handling personal injury claims, including indemnity validation, accurate reserve setting, liability resolution, quantum assessment, and settlement techniques.
- Experience with the OIC Portal or similar, and handling third-party Injury claims with KYO/Non KYO claimant representatives.
- Knowledge of the regulatory framework relating to Motor Claims and principles of English Law.
- Conversant with Pre-Action Protocol for Low Value Personal Injury Claims, Civil Procedure Rules, and the Road Traffic Act (RTA).
- Auditing and coaching skills, with the ability to act as a mentor and detect training needs.
