Support Assistant for Child with Special Needs

About the Company:
Penderels Trust is seeking a dedicated support assistant to provide assistance to a young boy with autism and ADHD. The role primarily involves facilitating the child's engagement with the community and managing school pickups. The child's interests include Pokemon and video games, making this a fun and rewarding opportunity.
About the Role:- Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Support educational and recreational activities.
- Encourage social skills and promote independence.
- Build a trusting and supportive relationship with the child.
- Dependable, trustworthy, and punctual.
- Respect the child's privacy and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work autonomously and adhere to instructions.
- Exhibit patience, supportiveness, and compassion.
- Strong listening skills and empathy.
- Previous experience in care is not mandatory.
- Adaptable and self-driven.
A driving license is preferred but not essential.
This role requires a satisfactory DBS disclosure due to the nature of the responsibilities. Flexibility and a readiness to meet the child's needs on a daily basis are essential.
