About The Role

EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high-speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.

As a Survey Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the section's survey team to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of themselves and others.

You will establish, communicate, and make available to all survey and engineering personnel the section's survey station network before construction begins.

Additionally, you will provide a topographical survey in preparation for engineering works on site, review information with the engineering team, and resolve any inconsistencies.

You will also assist the Chief Land Surveyor in developing survey budgets, assessing and reviewing actual costs, and reporting changes to the project manager and commercial team.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • HND/Degree in Land Survey, or Geomatics or equivalent and experience within a similar role
  • Experience in preparing survey-related Method statements and Risk assessments
  • Expert knowledge of Trimble total stations, levels, and GNSS receivers
  • Excellent AutoCAD skills to produce 2D and 3D drawings
  • Proficient in using survey software like Trimble Business Center
  • Solid report writing and compilation skills
  • Ability to learn new software/methodologies that might be needed during the evolution of the Project (drones, point cloud processing etc.)
  • Full UK driving licence is required
  • CSCS card is required - Black, Gold, White, White/Yellow, Red Experienced
