Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Legal & General. As a key member of our software development team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing robust and scalable applications using cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-quality software applications using Java Core, Spring/Quarkus framework, and Linux.
  • Work with microservices architecture and understand computing science fundamentals, including concurrency, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver business value through sound engineering methods and principles.
  • Develop and deploy applications using container-based cloud platforms, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Work with event-driven communication between services using Kafka and experience with CI/CD methodologies and tools.
Requirements:
  • Core Java development skills and experience with Java Core, Spring/Quarkus framework, and Linux.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and computing science fundamentals.
  • Experience with cloud applications, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD methodologies and tools, including Jenkins and GitHub.
  • Experience with automated testing and TDD.
