Maintenance Engineer Role Overview



We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment.



Key Responsibilities:





  1. Respond to machine breakdowns to minimize downtime and improve long-term machine reliability.

  2. Implement the Lead/Senior Maintenance Engineer's plan to work preventatively, in addition to reactively.

  3. Use appropriate root cause analysis tools and 5S methodologies.

  4. Actively support a culture of Continuous Improvement, identifying ways to engineer out persistent problems.

  5. Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks.

  6. Accurately record all maintenance tasks performed on an electronic reporting system.



Requirements:





  1. Fully qualified Engineering professional, with a C&G Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 qualification.

  2. Strong understanding of good engineering standards.

  3. Experience in Engineering, manufacturing, or production environments.

  4. Continuous improvement knowledge and a proactive approach.



Salary and Benefits:



£42,000 - £48,000 per annum, plus plenty of overtime opportunities. Monday to Friday, days only.
