Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Croydon, London. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring students receive the best possible support.
  • Support the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being among students.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices in SEN support.
Requirements:
  • Legal right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available for this position).
  • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in a secondary school setting.
  • Proven experience working with students with SEN, demonstrating a passion for supporting their educational journeys.
  • Confidence in managing classroom behavior and creating a positive learning environment.
  • Good understanding of the UK academic system and curriculum.
