About Private Client Solicitor Role

  • The company seeks a qualified and experienced Private Client Solicitor to join their team in Harlow. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in private client law, with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience (PQE).
The successful Solicitor will manage a varied caseload of private client matters, including wills, probate, estate planning, and trusts. They will be responsible for drafting and advising on testamentary documents, administering estates, and handling the creation and administration of trusts.Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft and advise on wills, lasting powers of attorney, and other testamentary documents.
  • Administer estates, including dealing with both taxable and non-taxable estates.
  • Handle the creation and administration of trusts, including advising trustees on their duties.
  • Provide advice on inheritance tax planning and mitigation strategies.
  • Assist clients with the preparation of deeds of variation.
  • Conduct client meetings to take instructions and provide advice.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in legislation and best practices in private client law.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a seamless service to clients.
  • Participate in business development and marketing activities to promote the firm's private client services.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years PQE in private client law.
  • Strong technical knowledge of wills, probate, estate administration, and trusts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
  • Proven track record of managing a busy caseload and meeting deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • A proactive approach to business development and networking.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
