Job Summary

We are seeking an Apprentice Marine Workshop Engineer to join our skilled mechanical engineering team at Gardline, part of the Boskalis group of companies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and a willingness to learn and develop the required skills through a structured apprenticeship training program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled mechanical engineering and technical service for the marine workshop.
  • Repair and maintain the company's fleet of survey vessels, ensuring timely completion.
  • Carry out class machinery surveys as instructed by superintendents.
  • Ensure adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental company policies and promote safe working practices.

Requirements

  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment.
  • Personal drive and a focus on health and safety.
  • Willingness to undertake level 3 Engineering Fitter Qualification.
  • Level 2 Math's and English.
  • Team spirit together with a proactive, and diligent work ethic.
