Career Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Cardiology Technologist to join our healthcare team. As a key member of our team, you will work independently in a supportive environment to perform cardiology testing duties. Your expertise may include ECG testing, stress testing, Holter monitoring, pacemaker monitoring, and other diagnostic cardiac equipment.
Responsibilities
- Explain procedures to patients, preparing them for tests such as ECG, stress testing, Holter monitoring, pacemaker monitoring, and related tests.
- Perform non-invasive examinations, attaching electrodes to patients, operating equipment, analyzing data, and recording relevant information for medical staff interpretation.
- Monitor patients during cardiograms and stress tests, taking action upon recognition of cardiac arrhythmias or abnormalities according to established policies.
- Analyze ECG, stress, Holter, and event monitor test strips, selecting and summarizing relevant portions for medical staff interpretation.
- Transfer and assign ECGs in ECG Cardiology Management systems for interpretation by medical staff.
- Demonstrate ECG testing procedures and operate related equipment as required.
- Participate in Quality Management and/or Quality Assurance programs, providing input to managers.
- Maintain equipment, cleaning, lubricating, and replacing items such as paper rolls, electrodes, and leads.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists Diploma from a recognized institution.
- Your Resume indicating two years' recent, related experience or equivalent.
- A Cover Letter stating your preferred location(s), shift type, and availability to start in a new position.
