Job Summary:

NHS Lothian is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic nurse with clinical research experience to join the Respiratory Research team at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. The successful candidate will provide senior support to the team and assist with the delivery of several clinical research projects enhancing the clinical care of patients with respiratory disease.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, screen, and recruit participants for clinical research projects
  • Assist with the care of research participants while they are taking part in the research
  • Support the delivery of clinical research projects, including data collection and analysis
  • Collaborate with the Respiratory Research team to develop and implement research protocols
  • Contribute to the development of research proposals and grant applications

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with clinical research experience
  • Experience in respiratory care is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
