Job Description

The HATS Group is a leading provider of patient transport services, mental health support, and home-to-school transport for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). As a Passenger Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of clients with special needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Escort and assist clients with special needs, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the journey.
  • Ensure safe entry and exit of clients from vehicles, using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, parents, and caregivers to ensure seamless transportation.
  • Work collaboratively with drivers and other staff members to provide high-quality transport services.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in patient transport and special needs support.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to assist clients with mobility issues.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Basic knowledge of patient transport and special needs support.
