We are BAE Systems, a leading provider of advanced defence and security solutions. Our team in Coventry is working on a major submarine programme and we are seeking a talented individual to join us as a Model-Based Engineering Lead.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of model-based systems engineering artifacts across a portfolio of products. You will also work with cross-functional teams to define system functions, requirements and design elements to ensure optimal performance in constrained technical environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support with the full utilisation and development of model-based systems engineering artifacts across a portfolio of products.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define system functions, requirements and design elements to ensure optimal performance in constrained technical environments.
  • Decompose complex designs into understandable components for further elaboration and development.
  • Support the execution of the full project lifecycle, from planning, through implementation, to operational readiness.

Requirements

  • Hold a Degree or equivalent within a STEM field.
  • Have a strong familiarisation of SysML.
  • You will need to have experience of using Model Based System Engineering toolsets such as Enterprise Architect.
  • Have a firm understanding of Systems Engineering and Systems thinking.
  • Familiarity with the Engineering System Lifecycle and its related process (specifically processes mentioned ISO/IEC 15288).
