Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:



  • Cleaning and tidying bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public spaces
  • Taking responsibility for laundry duties and ensuring that residents' clothing is cleaned and pressed
  • Assisting with meal preparation and serving when required
  • Maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents and staff


Requirements

  • Essential: evidence of understanding and respect for the needs of older people; awareness of health and safety practices within a working and residential environment
  • Desirable: experience of working with older people; experience of cleaning outside of a domestic setting
  • Personal attributes: integrity, honesty, patience, even temperament, ability to work on own initiative, treat all matters confidentially, respect for authority and direction of management and supervision, ability to work as member of caring team
  • Physical requirements: good health to allow attendance reliability and work proficiency, personal dress and presentation must meet Health & Hygiene standards
