Culinary Excellence at Chartwells

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chef to join our team at Chartwells, where we provide catering and support services to the education sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food that meets the needs of our clients and customers.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement menu plans that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements
  • Oversee kitchen operations to ensure efficient food preparation and service
  • Supervise a team of culinary professionals to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock management
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for menu innovation and improvement
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Represent Chartwells and maintain a positive brand image

Requirements:

  • Possess a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
  • Have experience supervising a team in a similar culinary role
  • Hold a Food Hygiene certificate
  • Be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment
