Job Title: Turkish Language Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Turkish teacher to join our Foreign Languages team at International House London. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching adult learners on our evening face-to-face courses at our school in Covent Garden.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and deliver high-quality Turkish language lessons to adult learners.
  2. Create engaging and effective lesson materials and activities.
  3. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  4. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere in the classroom.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of courses and maintain consistent teaching standards.

Requirements:

  1. Proficient Turkish speaker.
  2. Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  3. Initial teaching qualification.
  4. Minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
  5. Must have the right to work in the UK and be currently based in the UK.
  6. Possess a CLTA, CELTA, Trinity TESOL or DELTA.
  7. QTS.
  8. Hold a degree in Turkish Language and Literature or a degree in Modern Languages (English, Spanish, German, French, etc.).

Working Hours:

This is a part-time position. Most lessons are in the evening from, once a week. We also have some classes in the afternoons, Friday evenings, and Sunday mornings.
