Catering Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Catering Assistant to support our kitchen team in delivering exceptional food service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and serving of food to customers, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure all food items are stored correctly and efficiently, minimizing waste and optimizing stock levels.
  • Operate kitchen equipment, including dishwashers and ovens, with precision and attention to detail.
  • Support the kitchen team with stock control, restocking supplies as needed, and maintaining a well-organized workspace.
  • Assist with food waste management and recycling, promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment is highly desirable.
  • Basic food hygiene knowledge (Food Hygiene Certificate preferred) and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on cleanliness and organization.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative approach to achieving shared goals.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
