Cyber Security Analyst

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our team at the NHS Business Services Authority. As a key member of our Cyber Security Operations Team, you will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing security alerts and security tooling information to ensure the security of our network infrastructure and information systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support for Security systems, using your initiative to ensure the security, availability and stability of NHSBSA services;
- Analysing technical, security and statistical data and resolving complex issues when security is impaired, escalating when necessary;
- Identify through research and investigation, security threats providing analysis and evaluation in a timely manner;
- Working collaboratively with colleagues in the Information security function conduct risk assessments;
- Provide Security awareness training for non-Security staff in the safe and secure use of Information Technology;
- Maintain an understanding and be aware of developments in the cyber security threat landscape;
- Work within NHSBSA's policies, standing orders, financial regulations and legislative requirements;
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and customers to deliver high-quality secure technology services;
- Create and maintain operating instructions, user guides and reference/ training material to be used by a technical and non-technical audience;
- Complete own assigned tasks to a high quality and within agreed timelines. Pro-actively proposing improvements to enhance own and business areas;
- Actively identify your development and training needs within this specialism to maintain and develop your skills in Cyber Security to meet the requirements of the business.
