Job Title: Financial Operations Manager

Robert Walters UK is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team in Birmingham. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, treasury, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, tax compliance, general ledger, cost accounting, and revenue recognition
  • Oversee treasury management, including cash flow management, forecasting, and cash collection
  • Improve key business processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Provide monthly reporting and analysis on financial performance and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Ensure compliance with all external obligations, including annual returns and VAT returns
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and audit requirements
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Provide support to produce annual budgets and rolling financial forecasts
Requirements:
  • Qualified accountant with experience in finance operations, month-end reporting, compliance, and process improvement
  • Understanding of local tax compliance requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment
  • Ability to interact with senior stakeholders
  • Experience across both financial and management accounting, including tax and audit
