Job Description

EdEx - Education Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a highly-regarded mainstream secondary school in Wandsworth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with various needs, including Speech and Language, Communication, Social, Autism (Verbal and Non-Verbal) needs, and more.
  • Work closely with specialist Teachers, Therapists, and Psychologists to best support secondary-aged pupils with various needs.
  • Participate in and lead specialist interventions in areas such as Lego Therapy, Speech and Language, Zones of Regulation, and more.
  • Receive training and support from day one, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
Requirements:
  • A graduate with a 1st Class or 2:1 degree from a reputable university.
  • Good A-Levels and GCSEs, including English at GCSE.
  • Previous experience supporting children, young people, or adolescents, either through tutoring, nannying, babysitting, volunteering, or personal experience.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with barriers to learning.
  • An inquisitive, warm, and nurturing personality.
  • The ability to speak confidently and calmly.
