CV-Library is seeking a skilled Social Work Consultant to join our team in Oldham, Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments of children and families to determine their needs and risks. They will develop and implement support plans to safeguard children and promote their welfare, working closely with other agencies to coordinate services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments of children and families to identify their needs and risks.
  • Develop and implement support plans to safeguard children and promote their well-being.
  • Collaborate with other agencies to provide a coordinated service response.
  • Represent CV-Library in court hearings and other legal proceedings as required.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to families and carers on child protection matters.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Social Work from a recognized institution.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or equivalent regulatory body.
  • Significant experience working with children and families, preferably in a family safeguarding context.
  • Proven knowledge of child protection legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of professionalism.

This role offers a competitive hourly rate of £39 per hour for a 6-month contract.
