Workshop Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Workshop Technician to join our team in Aberdeen. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and refurbishment activities on ROV systems and associated tooling packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance, mobilization, demobilization, periodic, and in-storage activities on company and customer-owned equipment.
- Ensure all work is performed to conform to company operating and maintenance standards and in accordance with current legislation.
- Update equipment maintenance systems to record details of all repairs and maintenance of company-owned equipment.
- Assist with preparation and mobilization of ROV systems and/or associated tooling packages.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks for the workshop group.
- Participate in observation systems and conduct STOP audits on a regular basis.
- Participate in safety training courses and initiatives.
- Ensure all tasks are performed using correct procedures.
- Participate in the creation of Risk Assessments and JSEA.
- Participate in QHSE initiatives such as continuous improvement implementation and monitoring.
- Adopt and promote 6S and lean principles.
- Assist with any other duties as and when required.
Requirements
- City Guilds, SVQ level 3 in Mechanical or Hydraulic Engineering.
- Working knowledge of subsea equipment, including ROV systems, IWOCS, Workover Systems, and Tooling packages.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Demonstratable awareness of 6S and lean principles.
- Working at heights experience.
- Overhead crane certification.
