Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

About the Role:Reporting directly to the Engineering Site Leader, your primary responsibilities will encompass the repair and planned maintenance of our sophisticated automated equipment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations and continuous improvement within our manufacturing facilities.
This position requires flexibility as you may be required to travel between our six Gripple Ltd manufacturing sites, located primarily in the Lower Don Valley area of Sheffield. A commitment to working regular mornings and afternoons, as well as occasional night shifts and weekend work, is essential to meet the demands of our production schedule.
Who We Seek:The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, complemented by electrical aptitude. You should have hands-on experience in high-volume manufacturing environments and be proficient in various maintenance techniques.
Your expertise should encompass:
- Pneumatics
- Hydraulics
- Bench Fitting
- Milling
- Turning
- PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance)
- Electrical Fault Finding
While not mandatory, experience in the following areas would be highly advantageous:
- Roll Forming
- Sheet Metal Forming (Trumpf)
- Robotics (ABB, Kawasaki or Omron)
- PLC Programming/Interrogation
