Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Technology Architect - Infrastructure to join our team at Carlisle Brass Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of software solutions that ensure seamless integration with business processes, contributing to the overall success and growth of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and Executing Local IT Strategies: Develop and execute local IT strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Driving Digital Transformation Initiatives: Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and improve customer experience.
  • Managing Website Hosting: Oversee the management of website hosting, including the development and monitoring of service level performance from 3rd party resource partners.
  • Helpdesk Management: Manage day-to-day helpdesk resources and performance, including reporting and improvement programmes.
  • Software Development Management: Manage the software development function, providing direction to development activities and being a vital link between the business and development team as part of the software development life cycle.
  • Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure.
  • Business Application Development: Own and manage the development, deployment, and maintenance of business applications, including in-house developed software.
  • Service Level Agreement (SLA) Management: Develop local business-specific SLAs and ensure that IT services meet these standards.
  • Hardware Estate Management: Manage the hardware estate for the business units, including physical servers, switches, local PCs, printers/MFDs, telecoms, and video conferencing assets.
  • Security and Compliance: Enforce group security policies and procedures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Project Planning and Management: Project plan and manage infrastructure maintenance and development projects, including engagement and management of 3rd-party contractors.
Requirements:
  • Education**: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree would be beneficial.
  • Experience**: Experience and/or recognised qualifications in project management and successful implementation of IT projects.
  • Knowledge**: Intrinsic knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
  • Technical Skills**: Experience with MWARE, Windows Server, Linux, Veeam, and other relevant systems.
