Job Title: District Lead Officer Grade 6

Lancashire County Council is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused District Lead Officer Grade 6 to join our team. As a key member of our District Lead Team, you will be responsible for managing multiple districts, administering highway casework for county council members, MPs, district, and parish councillors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer highway casework for county council members, MPs, district, and parish councillors.
  • Provide effective and proactive communications to stakeholders in advance of highway works.
  • Ensure Freedom of Information requests are dealt with promptly.
  • Support the District Lead Team in administration of highway casework.
  • Assist in providing customer-focused and timely outcomes to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Thrive in a target-driven environment and multi-task to ensure deadlines are met with high-quality responses.
  • Have a passion for customer service and ensure that customers are treated with empathy, respect, and consideration.
  • Be politically aware and have a clear understanding of the county council as an organisation and our responsibilities to county council members.
  • Able to communicate via phone, email, and letter as a plain English advocate with highly developed written communication skills.
  • Team player and willing to support colleagues during peaks in workload and periods of annual leave.
