Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Midwife to join our team as a Practice Development Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the advancement of midwifery practices and improve patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and evaluate educational and developmental programs for midwives and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop curriculum, training materials, and resources to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Stay updated on the latest evidence-based practices in midwifery.
  • Develop and update clinical guidelines and standards to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for midwives to improve their clinical competencies.
  • Provide ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance the skills of the maternity care team.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify areas for improvement in maternity care.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Engage in research activities to contribute to the advancement of midwifery practices.
  • Integrate innovative approaches and technologies into clinical care as appropriate.
  • Provide mentorship and support to midwives, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Address challenges and concerns related to clinical practices through guidance and coaching.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Midwife with the following qualifications and skills:

  • Registered Midwife with a UK NMC Pin.
  • SSSA/Mentorship qualification.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • PGCert (desirable).
