This is a complex and rewarding role that involves managing staff and resources to ensure each resident enjoys a dignified and fulfilling life. As the Home Manager, you will work closely with the Clinical Lead and other teams to ensure the quality of individual service and care consistently meets high standards.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing a nursing home, with a good working knowledge of CQC standards and the ability to work towards achieving outstanding ratings. They will also have excellent communication skills and be able to maintain excellent working relationships at all levels.

The Home Manager will receive an excellent salary of £55,000 per annum, plus a range of benefits, including a contributory pension scheme, enhanced rates of pay for bank holidays, and comprehensive induction and training programme.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing staff and resources to ensure each resident enjoys a dignified and fulfilling life
  • Working closely with the Clinical Lead and other teams to ensure the quality of individual service and care consistently meets high standards
  • Creating and leading a vision for the home to ensure a philosophy of continuous improvement
  • Managing people and processes, being a Home Manager is a complex, influential and highly rewarding role involving close liaison with residents, their families, professional contacts and multi-disciplinary teams

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

  • Previous experience of managing a nursing home
  • A good working knowledge, with a proven record of CQC standards and can work towards achieving Outstanding
  • Good communication skills and can maintain excellent working relationships at all levels, internal as well as external professionals, families and visitors
  • A proven track record of marketing and business skills within the private care sector, running a commercially successful, good or outstanding rated care home
  • Enthusiasm and passion for developing high level of person-centred care
  • Ability to actively participate in the growth and development of the care service
