Join Our Team as a Sustainability and Climate Change Lawyer

We are seeking an experienced Sustainability and Climate Change Lawyer to join our team at Search Legal. As a leading international law firm, we pride ourselves on our global capabilities and commitment to serving clients across various legal issues.

Our Environment team is a top-tier practice that advises clients on all aspects of Environment and ESG, Climate Change, Sustainability, Health & Safety, and product liability. We work with a diverse range of clients, including large multinationals, private equity, and institutional investor clients, as well as HM Government departments.

As a Sustainability and Climate Change Lawyer, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of matters, including transactional and advisory work, as well as contentious matters such as regulatory and criminal defence work. You will be part of a dynamic team that is recognized for its capabilities in advising clients on ESG-related matters and the effects of their implementation in both the short and long-term in multi-jurisdictional and domestic contexts.

Our current case load includes advisory work on new legislation, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, regulatory defence work, including environmental and health and safety prosecutions, as well as transactional work on large complex cross-border transactions.

To be successful in this role, you will have gained experience at a top-tier law firm in London and have excellent academics. You will also have experience and knowledge in Environmental law, ESG and sustainability, Human rights and social compliance, non-financial reporting and disclosure, and climate change and carbon trading.
