Maintenance Plumber

Estimated salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum

About the Role:

Fusion People Ltd is seeking a skilled Maintenance Plumber to join their team at HMP Durham. The ideal candidate will be qualified to NVQ level 3 in Plumbing and Heating with experience in plumbing maintenance.

About You:
  • Hold a valid NVQ level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Heating
  • Have experience in plumbing maintenance, ideally in a commercial environment
  • Able to work on-site at HMP Durham, adhering to Prison Security Clearance requirements
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Routine and non-routine maintenance tasks, including fault finding and identification of life-expired equipment
  2. Check, repair, and make good faults and life-expired equipment, ensuring statutory works are carried out to time
  3. Perform inspections, water sampling, and risk assessments to minimize wastage and improve processes
  4. Repair mains water supply issues, working at height and in various weather conditions as needed
