We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability and Test Methodology Engineer to join our team at Quintessential Design Services Limited. Key Responsibilities- Develop component-specific design verification and validation test methods for new electrified propulsion systems.
- Enhance our test plans to create efficient tests tailored to specific mechanisms of failure for new cutting-edge automotive technology.
- Participate in product design processes to understand product features, functions, and lifecycle events to plan for reliability assessment.
- Perform lifecycle assessment and provide recommendations to the design team to achieve lifecycle targets.
- Develop standard methods, trainings, and methodologies and ensure implementation within the organization for competence development.
- Share lessons learned and develop best practice guidelines.
- Collaborate with a broad range of specialists and projects to put complex ideas across to senior engineers.
- Degree or similar qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related subject.
- Strong background in product development and experience in component/system design and verification/validation.
- Understanding of quality tools and in particular Failure Mode Avoidance (FMA) and Design for Reliability (DfR) methods and principles.
- Familiarity with and experience in failure mode analysis with ability to problem solve and effectively communicate findings at different business levels.
- Knowledge of reliability engineering and statistical analysis.
- Working knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with the design, operation, and environment of Automotive Electrification.
- Design for Reliability (DfR) techniques.
- DFMEA, DRBFM, Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Able to communicate effectively, work flexibly in a multi-disciplinary team, and on own initiative.
- Experience of working in AGILE.
- Product development experience in Transmission & Driveline (eMachines), Thermal Systems (Cooling, Lubrication), Power Electronics (Inverter), or Mechanical (Castings or Frames).
- Competitive salary in line with level of experience.
