About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen/Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Bupa. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between the main kitchen and residents, ensuring seamless communication and service delivery.
- Assist chefs in meal preparation, food trolley management, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Monitor stock rotation, adhere to company policies, and follow COSHH and HACCP guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy food environment.
- Support catering for special events, such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties, to create memorable experiences for our residents.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home, working closely with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure a pleasant living environment.
- Ensure residents' happiness by vacuuming, mopping floors, polishing, and maintaining communal areas and bedrooms.
- Manage housekeeping stocks and report any issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need a passion for food, previous experience in a kitchen, and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. You should be able to deliver exceptional service, maintain high standards, and work effectively with our kitchen and care home teams.
