About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our team as a Team Leader in Histopathology. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting senior biomedical scientists in the day-to-day running of the core service within the laboratory and deputising for the laboratory manager when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the laboratory manager and other section leaders in the service provision of a timely, clinically critical laboratory service.
  • Provide an expert diagnostic service for haematopathology.
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy and reliability, ensuring continuity of service at all times.
  • Take full participation in laboratory accreditation to ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 15189.
  • Assist the laboratory management team in implementing new techniques and technologies.
