Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a Class 1 Tramper Driver, you will be responsible for collecting and delivering customers' products throughout the UK, using a handheld PDA to complete paperwork, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and deliver customers' products to various locations throughout the UK.
  • Operate a handheld PDA to complete paperwork and manage customer expectations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, both face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Communicate regularly with the transport team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
  • Have experience driving walking floor and curtain sider vehicles.
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience in delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Be a confident, polite, and team-oriented individual.
  • Have good geographical knowledge and be flexible with working hours.
