About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Technical Lead to join our Projects and Property Team at North Somerset Council. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical support to the Council and its Directorates in relation to its existing and future property assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive building advice to the Council, covering all types of property, with a focus on effective maintenance.
  • Supervise and manage repair and renewal works to the corporate property of the Council.
  • Undertake condition surveys of non-residential property and prepare plans to maintain robust programmes for ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Support the Projects and Property Team in providing building advice on contractual liabilities, schedules of condition, and dilapidations.
  • Undertake audits and inspections of property for energy management and disability access compliance.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be an accomplished team player with excellent communication skills. You will also require a valid driving licence and own transport, or be able to provide an alternative suitable method of travel.

This position is currently based at our Castlewood offices in Clevedon, but please note that the office will be closed by 2025 and a new location is currently being consulted on.
