Job Title: Year 1 Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 1 Teacher to join our Key Stage 1 team at an Outstanding Primary School in London.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons to Year 1 students, promoting academic excellence and fostering a love of learning.

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will be expected to:

  • Implement effective teaching strategies to cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and setting targets for improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and share best practices.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respectful behavior and positive relationships.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching Year 1 students in a primary school setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment methods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners.
