About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Female Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join our team at Oscar Underhill Recruitment Solutions Ltd. As a Domestic Abuse Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals who have experienced domestic violence and abuse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective support services for survivors of domestic violence and abuse.
  • Develop and implement safety plans and risk assessments to ensure the well-being and safety of clients.
  • Support clients in transitioning from temporary accommodation to safe and independent living via housing association properties or private rent with support of rent deposit schemes.
  • Provide life skills training and empower clients to build successful relationships within their community.
  • Signpost clients to relevant sources of information, support, guidance, and advice, and facilitate peer support where appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Current Enhanced DBS covering child and adult workforce.
  • Full UK Driver's license and access to own vehicle.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on individuals and communities.
