Ground Investigation Engineer

Central Alliance is a leading pre-construction specialist that enables economic and societal growth through important projects. We work on places to work and live, road and rail, tunnels and bridges, heat, light, power, and water.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise site investigations, requiring occasional work away from home.
- Log soil and rock in accordance with BS5930:2015.
- Complete Desktop Studies.
- Conduct gas and groundwater monitoring and sampling.
- Process data.
- Prepare factual reports.
- Assist senior staff with project-related duties.
- Oversee department equipment allocation, hire, servicing, and repairs.
- Travel and attend internal and external meetings as required.
- Adhere to working instructions from internal and external clients.
- Conduct internal paperwork as needed.
- Communicate with internal and external parties.
Requirements:
- Geology or geoscience-related degree.
- Experience in compliance with CDM regulations and production of H&S documentation.
- Knowledge of UK geology.
- Soil and rock logging skills.
- Ability to attend and pass internal and industry-recognised external training courses.
- Site supervision of drilling operations.
- UK Driving License.
- Professional conduct at all times.
- Experience in people management.
- Flexible approach to work, including working hours and working away from home.
