About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our team at On Target Recruitment Ltd. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing the daily design workload, while also working closely with our Regional Sales Managers across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production of Temporary Works Designs and drawings to satisfy customer demand
  • Checking designs and providing technical guidance to the sales team
  • Supporting the internal design team, including Graduate Engineers, Design Engineers, and Technicians
  • Identifying training requirements for Graduate Engineers/Design Engineers and implementing adequate training plans
  • Supporting the Design Manager and Engineering Manager with department efficiency, training, and recruitment
  • Managing a team of engineers and looking to grow the team
Requirements
  • Closer to or having achieved a minimum IEng professional recognition with the ICE/IStructE (working towards becoming chartered)
  • Several years' experience in a similar role within Shoring, Above ground propping, and temporary works
  • Good understanding of geotechnical engineering principles
  • Ability to communicate and hold technical conversations (internally and externally)
  • Right to work in the UK and possess a full driving license
