About the Role

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Lung Cancer team at Whipps Cross Hospital. As a Band 7 CNS, you will work closely with the respiratory and oncology teams to provide expert care to patients undergoing treatment for lung cancer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and expertise in the development of support networks for patients and families
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care pathways
  • Conduct holistic needs assessments and provide individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with community services, including GPs and community nursing teams, to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in nurse-led clinics and multidisciplinary team meetings

Requirements

  • Relevant level 3 post-registration course or ENB Course
  • Teaching qualification
  • Relevant 1st level degree or working towards
  • Experience as a Band 6 in oncology/respiratory care
  • Experience in the development of support networks
  • Experience in public speaking
