The R&D Validation Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our ANSYS CFD software. This role assesses how well the product meets customer needs and ensures that product requirements and quality standards are satisfied.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform functional, application, regression, and performance testing in manual and/or automated test environments.
  • Investigate possible causes of problems and create test plans.
  • Participate in defect management and testing metrics.
  • Apply standard techniques and procedures and comply with the company's overall development and testing processes.
  • Work in a variety of computing environments, including Windows and Linux operating systems and high-performance computing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering or a related field with 2 years of experience, or MS with no experience.
  • Advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience using CFD software to solve engineering problems.
  • Experience in a large-scale commercial software testing and verification environment.
  • Strong computing skills, including experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) and with both Linux and Windows platforms.
