MRI Clinical Lead Position

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced MRI Clinical Lead to join our team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHSFT. As a key member of our MRI department, you will be responsible for leading and developing our MRI Imaging service, delivering training, and deputising in the absence of the Principal and Deputy Principal Radiographer.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the MRI Imaging service, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient department workflow.
- Deliver training to staff new to the MRI environment, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Justify and prioritise requests for further imaging, making decisions regarding the administration of contrast media during examinations.
- Be responsible for the clinical development of the service, including department workflow, staff training, and protocol optimisation.

Person Specification
- Varied clinical experience at Band 6 level or above.
- Experience of training staff new to the MRI environment.
- IV Injection Qualification.
Desirable
- Experience of leading a multi-professional team.
- Evidence of post-qualification experience.
Skills, Knowledge, and Competencies
- Ability to organise and prioritise a complex workload to meet service needs.
- Specialist knowledge of a wide range of MRI procedures.
- Ability to communicate well with different levels of staff and the public by written or verbal means.
Mental Effort
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Able to concentrate and prioritise staff and patient acuity to achieve effective use of resources.
Physical Skills
- Advanced keyboard skills.
- Ability to perform manual handling procedures.
